This exceeding 43 place, family-owned service has been in the community for years and currently is seeking an experienced Certificate III or Diploma Room Leader to join their well established team of educators. The centre has indoor and outdoor spaces and are both well resourced to provide educators with the opportunity to provide high quality learning experiences for the children.

The Role

As a Diploma Room Leader, your responsibilities will include:

• Working as a room leader alongside a team of educators to implement programming leading to successful learning outcomes for the children in the toddlers room
• Communicating positively with the children and families
• Preparing, implementing and evaluating a developmentally appropriate program for individual children and groups
• Being reliable, respectful and working constructively with your colleagues and other professionals
• Collaborating and supporting the educators in the room to create a safe nurturing environment for the children
• Ensuring a trusting relationship is developed with families through regular, honest and open communication regarding the care of their child
• Having sound knowledge of current child care practices, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework

About You

To be successful in this position you must have:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR an ACECQA equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Room Leader
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current Child Protection/Safeguarding
• Current First-Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
• Food Handling Certificate or willing to obtain
• Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
• Unrestricted working rights (must be able to work full-time, 5 days/week)
